| This Thursday, I will leave Honduras and my time here will be done. I definitely plan to come back and visit, but am not sure when this will be. My life has forever been changed by my time in this amazing country and it breaks my heart to leave. Many tears will be shed this week and many hard goodbyes will be said. If you are a praying person, I would greatly appreciate prayers for me and the children as it will be hard for us all. Thanks for this. ps. here's a picture of the island
The water was amazingly blue!
We had hermit crab races and this was mine:
The sunsets were amazing!

Yep, you read my title correctly...I'm going to a private island for a week! In Honduras, you can rent your own island for $100 a night!!! Split 4 ways, that's not too bad! I leave tomorrow and will be there for a week. Here's a link so you can see how i'll be livin in luxury! ps. i'll be home in 2 weeks...that's sad and happy at the same time...

I think green beans are about the most delicious thing in the world. Most people's favorite foods are something rich or at least not a vegetable, but mine is green beans. I seriously think I could eat green beans every day and not get tired of them. They really are nutritious and delicious. Anyone else have a weird favorite food?

Today I got my first food present from a student. In the US children sometimes give their teacher an apple (at least that's what people think). Well, today there was a mango waiting for me on my desk! I'm going to miss it here!!

So, yesterday during church a phone started ringing. I looked around to see whose phone it was and my pastor picked up his phone. Keep in mind that this was while he was preaching. Then, he proceeded to answer his phone and say "hang on a second." Needless to say, I was a little surprised. Then, a few minutes later, two people walked into the service...5 min before it was over...punctuality is not a strong suit of Hondurans. It was a fun filled service!
